This has been a movie I’ve been looking to add to the collection for some time. Trying to find a copy of it at a reasonable price and in good shape has been a challenge. But, with some perseverance, the planets have finally aligned in my favor.

Printing DVD labels like it’s 1989
Yet another update on my DVD burning project; I wrote a small BASIC program for my C128 to print covers for my DVD cases. Although most of the discs I’m creating will be going into the DVD organizer, some special collections I want to put on the shelf, with our studio produced discs.

I resurrect my Sony DVD Player from the ashes
It’s been buried on a shelf for a few years now, being put there ever since the disc loading tray refused to open and close without jamming. But, this evening, I was determined to do what I could to get it functional again. Turns out all this trouble was caused by one tiny little belt.

My solution to terrible DVD packaging
I’ve finally found a solution to the terrible packaging you typically find with DVD “boxed sets” of your favorite T.V. shows. New DVD sets of classic T.V. from 70s and 80s

It’s old, but it still works
Yet another DVD player of ours craped out in less than four months! This one I bought from Amazon, so thankfully they’re giving me a refund. But it just re-enforces my opinion that electronics today are total and utter garbage no matter what name-brand you buy. I think you’re just better off with older technology, if you can find it.

Cheap is just the new “normal”
This evening, we sat down to watch a couple of movies that we haven’t seen for a while. First, we watched “A Knight’s Tale”, which is one of the first movies we ever purchased on DVD. This was back in 2001; over twenty years ago already! After that, we decided to watch one of the more recent DVDs we’ve purchased, X-Men Apocalypse. When I picked up the box from the shelf it almost flew right out of my hand!
